La Regional Talabartería, making saddles and leather items since 1957 in El Pitillal Jalisco, a village in the middle of Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay.

We have made hundred of saddles to local, regional and foreign people, visitors and friends, our quality and original beauty work has been recognized at home and abroad. We have kept a old tradition and unique style that are not used in other places of Mexico, a tradition and technique that could disappear in the next years because there are fewer people that know those technique, as well as we do it.

The founder was Salvador Meza Segura (rest in peace) who learned this work in Cabos Jalisco, at the occidental Sierra Madre, one of the mountainous area of Jalisco. He brought his learning to Puerto Vallarta and stablished at El Pitillal village in 1957, he was the first saddler (talabartero) in town and the only one in many years. Puerto Vallarta is not a saddler area neither leather craftman or similar, is most touristic and commercial, the local handicraft surged a few years ago, leather craftmans are around 3 or 4.

There’s some cities where are many saddlers, good saddles, but some way or other our clients and friends prefer our products over the rest, they say because our quality and very well detailed work, fine leather and original designs.

We hope you like our work and order because we need stay working and keep this tradition alive.
